MERRY CHRISTMAS!

I know I was going to update every week. I'm sorry. It has been more like a month.

Anyway, here is the scoop.

Finals are over! Can you beleive that my first semester of college is all ready over? It is so crazy! Now I am break for Christmas. I was really glad to get to spend some time at home. I got a digital camera today so here are the first pictures I took...poor Francis.

This is how much snow we got today. Can you beleive that? It was crazy outside all day. Francis couldn't get out of the drive way. But my Christmas was so so good, and I hope that yours was too!

Here is my way WAY over due update to my blog.

I wake up every day and go to school. Then I go to work. Then I come home and go to bed. The next day I do it again. In between some of those places, I eat and do homework. Super exciting huh? Seriously though, I really enjoy school (except for commuting). I am learning a lot, and it seems like the more I learn the more I realize I don't know a whole lot. That is so motivating. That is what life is all about right; learning new things and growing? It is so fun for me.

Here is a point of interest. At least it is interesting to me. On teusday we went to the veterans day concert and Cory brought a blind date. Her name was Emily and she is an English teacher at Bingham High. So cute! I really liked her. Hopefully things will go well for them. Shh....I don't want to jinx it.

Speaking of concerts, everyone should come to the Scholarship concert on Nov. 21 and 22. It will be a little long, and very classical, but I think it will be good.

...what?

I can't beleive it but it is already the end of October! Who would have thought that I would ever make it through the first half of my first semester of college...well, not entirely unscathed, but relitivly ok (knock on wood).
Anyway, todays topic is automobiles. Specifically, mine. Francis is a 1999 volkswaggon beatle who is in dire need of some tlc. Unfortunatly, he was horribly neglected by his previous owners. When I got him, he was out of oil and windsheild wiper fluid, scratched, dented, had no voice (the radio and cd player didn't work), and had several engine complaints. It was so sad. We are doing our very best to nurse him back to health. So far, treatments have gone well! I am happy to report that the radio works (not the cd player though) and some of the whiney noises have stopped.
I know it sounds silly, but I really think that naming cars and other inanimate objects makes them run better. For example, our piano used to go out of tune so much! Finally I decided it was because it didn't have a name and was upset that we didn't care. We had a little powwow and I decided to name him George. My computer's name is Stella. One time it wouldn't boot up. I couldn't for the life of me figure out why. It was because I forgot her name. Finally I said "Stella, please work!" And she did! :)

I just learned that my very best friend in the whole world lost someone dear to her today. It made me realize that I am so blessed to have so many great and wonderful people around me all the time. I wanted you all to know that I love you so much! I know it sounds trite and chiche, but it's true; you never know what will happen. Please take the time to tell people when you love and appreciate them.

Fall break...Halleluia!

I know I said I would try to update every week. Sorry this one is so late.
Midterms are killers. I think they should be outlawed, along with their accomplices, finals! This has been a super busy week and I'm glad that it is over.
Next week will be fall break! No classes all week :) I'm so happy...

Time once again to update my blog! I bet you are all so excited to hear about my wonderful, exciting life... That was sarcasm, in case you were wondering.
The good news is that FRANCIS IS HEALED!!! Hallelujah. I was so worried about him. But thanks to some TLC, he is running like new. Well, almost. The two of us still don't communicate 100% effectively, but we are getting there :)
The other good news is that I am still enjoying my job. I am surprised that my contentment with retail has lasted so long. It is still just a job, and not what I want to do for the rest of my life by any strech of the imagination, but it is not so bad! I love my manager, Dana, and her assistant Rachelle. They are so nice about working around my school schedual and concerts and such. And all the other ladies I work with are super sweet. All in all I can't complain about that too much.
As a side note, please PLEASE! never go shopping 10 minutes before you know the store is closing. Last night we had a lady call at about 4 to ask if she could return some things. Sure of course! So she came in and exchanged about $100 worth of merchandise. A little annoying and time consuming, but no biggie. She called again an hour later. She wanted to know what size was bigger than a 4T. I tried to explain that it was a size 4 in the big girl section. I kid you not I was on the phone for 15 MINUTES!!! So finally she got it and hung up. Then she called again and wanted to know how late we were open because she forgot the coupon didn't start until wed. so she was going to return every thing she bought that day!!! We close at nine; she came strolling through the door at 8:50, and totally trashed all of our piles of nice clothes we had just straightened AND SHE DIDN'T EVEN BUY ANYTHING! I spent 20 minutes returning everything she bought that day. GRRHHSHEHAHH!!! The moral of this long rant is be considerate of others. Thank you!

This is a test...

Ok, since I am new at the whole blog thing I am testing this out to see if I can add some pictures. I know, it's kind of lame that I can't just figure these things out but I am doing my best :)

Well, that obviously worked! Happy day! Aren't my brothers just too studly for words?

And remind me why I'm doing this again?

Ok, so here is what I don't understand. Why do I always always put my self through more stress than is good for me?
Take for example work. And school. Now, one with out the other would not be so bad. But combined, they stink! I have zero time to get things done. My room and my car are huge messes, I haven't vacuumed (my chore) in about a week and a half, and my dirty clothes have taken over my floor. AHHHHHHH!!!
And is it really that I have too many stressors in my life or do I do it to myself? Sometimes I wonder...

Sorry about the rant. I really am enjoying myself. School is so fun! And I love the people I work with.

I'm new at this whole blog thing, but I am going to try and update about once a week. So here is this weeks!
This last week was long. Oh boy was it long. Francis broke down...again! (Francis is my car by the way.) So I took him back to the shop and they couldn't find any thing wrong. Lets keep our fingers crossed :)
Saturday was my first concert as a college student! It was very exciting and I think we did a great job. It is good to be back in choir. I missed it so much! And it reminds me why I am doing what I'm doing...because I love it!
