The Rochester Chronicles Part Three - The Public Market

I rarely have time to grocery shop.  But I generally MAKE time to go to the Rochester public market.  It is one of my favorite things about the city.

It's the longest continuously running public farmers market on the east coast.  It is really fun; they have this hilarious guy who makes announcements and stuff; there is a really cool bakery; a lot of the produce is locally grown.  I always feel so healthy and like part of the community after I shop here.

Soon after this picture was taken, those apples got in my bag to come home with me.  There is a kind of apple they grow here called Honey Crisp and they are basically the most delicious apples I've ever had. (I find myself eating a lot of apples...they are fast, don't make a mess, are delicious...)

This is my friend Christie.  She is also in the developmental psychology PhD program.  She and I and some of my other friends from my cohort are big big fans of the market!
