Earlier this week me, Mom, and Baileigh went to see the new Muppet Movie. It was totally ridiculous and silly. But it was exactly what I needed! I didn't have to think very hard, I got to laugh a lot, and it brought back a lot of memories. The Muppets have been a part of my life since I was a little, little kid. My favorite TV show for a long time was Sesame Street. Of course this was before went to First Grade and moved on to more sophisticated shows like Reading Rainbow, but even after, I would secretly watch with Wade. Then, when DVDs started to come out, mom bought the Muppet Show seasons. Holy. Funny. We would watch them all the time! Again, totally ridiculous and silly, but sometimes that is what you need.
Rowlf the Dog was always my favorite Muppet. First of all, he plays the piano which is awesome. He doesn't sugar coat anything, and has this air of worldly wisdom that, even as a kid, appealed to my pragmatic nature. And he did the Animal Hospital sketches on the show, which always had the corniest jokes (but being 6, I thought they were hilarious).

i saw the muppets over thanksgiving, and i loved it too! to tell you the truth, i still enjoy watching sesame street sometimes, as well as the muppet show. i'm glad you enjoyed the movie! :-)
